This lickety split craft is perfect for a birthday party or classroom event. The supplies can be found at some dollar stores or teacher supply stores. I paid $2 for the poms and the bulletin board edged, the glue I had on hand.
You Will Neeed:
*bulletin board edging
*pom-poms
*glue (tacky glue has the most tack)
*tape and/or stapler
scrumdilly-do it:
Set out supplies in a mess friendly zone and let your kiddos get gluing. Markers will generally not work on foiled edging. When I ran children's event for a bookstore, we used the corrugated rolls of bulletin board edging, we simply cut the lengths we needed and let the kiddos loose. If the pre-cut edges are too short, cut an additional piece fro ma spare and affix with tape or staples. Allow 20-30 minutes for the glue to dry. Have fun!

Spoil Them Rotten!
For fun or for no reason at all! I did this with the traditional sugar overload of ice-cream and candy, but you can do this with yogurt, graham crackers & cool whip, bread & butter, cupcakes or giant cookies.
You do not by any means have to use all the sugar I did, use happy cereal, nuts, dried fruit and fresh fruit instead. Always, always, always remember the age of your kidlets and what they can and can not eat. I know YOU know this but just in case your wee ones have a friend who is younger make sure to think age appropriate sweets. it's a no brainer I know but we all forget sometimes.
I had wanted to do this in pretty, happy bowls or cups but forgot to bring my own and was at the work house so I decided to use a happy fun plastic tray and cupcake liners. Oh how I love me a cupcake liner! So have fun, get creative and as always, take pictures!

Robots! Go-bots!
May 3 is Space Day. Since I have a thing for Robots I thought I would get y'all amped up to throw a robot party like this amazing mom did!
Birthday parties can easily get out of hand, especially if you live in a neighborhood where bigger is better. All you have to do is take a deep breath and let your wee one help in the planning. Bouncey house or not, you will have an excellent day full of fun and a wee bit o' chaos!
For a space or robot themed event there isn't much you can't do. All you really need is an awesome art activity, a couple of games, cake and a take home item. If you serve up cupcakes with a sprinkles bar that is even better! The birthday boy pictured above had a blast. There was robot making from recyclables, pin the nose on the robot and much running around. Plus, there was cake. For the giveaway/goodie bag, Mom Stacey ordered up a couple of custom t-shirts at a great deal from custom t-shirts. You could do this with an image drawn by your kidlet. You don't have to go all out, just pick a theme and run with it. Keeping the festivities outdoors is best. Kids need a lot of space as their energy levels grow in leaps and bounds as the group grows.
